Westborough, Massachusetts

Today is the day we returned to civilization. That is, Uncle Steve's house in Westborough, MA. Unfortunately, civilization produces lots of traffic. Our journey was cut short today on account of heavy traffic and an absence of shoulders to ride on. Since we only had one car which could carry three bicycles, we sent half of the group ahead and left Karen and Tracie and three bikes at some funeral home in I-don't-know-where Massachusetts.

We could tell we were getting close to the Atlantic Ocean when we came upon the "Clam Box" for lunch. Of course, being from the South, I opted for frog legs rather than clams. Tastes like chicken. Oh, and for dessert, we had our choice of analgesics from Mom's ever-present pharmacy aka handbag.

Although this day was not as challenging as yesterday, it still had it's share of challenges. Mom stuck with it on the hills even when they were too steep to peddle up, and Dad pedaled when he had to and napped when he didn't.

We arrived at Uncle Steve and Aunt Diana's house at dinner time, and got a preview of the family gathering yet to come. We were joined by Winifred, Marci, Eric and Kristy. It was only a total of 14 people in one house, and I know we're going to have double that at the Cape.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow!

Love,
Dave
