Our second to last day of riding was fairly uneventful. Here we are taking a break under the shade trees at the Pearl River. We were entertained by Pearl, the squirrel, who seemed to really enjoy the caramel corn. We also had fun watching an ant with broken legs try to move along. See - exciting, huh?!

Actually, the whole trip has been uneventful relative to mishaps. No flats, broken spokes, etc. The only mishap happened yesterday when Tracie was speeding along the Interstate to pick us up some lunch in a nearby town. The two plastic storage boxes we had bungied to the top of the car decided to set themselves free. Amazingly, the boxes did not open up and were recovered with the assistance of an elderly gentleman.

Oh, yes, there was some excitement when we arrived at our hotel in Clinton, MS. In case you were wondering - Elvis IS alive and well, soaking in the pool at the Hampton Inn in Clinton MS.
