n. from climber jargon; 1. A derogatory term for a fully stuffed haul bag. Only invoked when having to carry or haul the damn thing. A pig is not only heavy, but it is stubborn. It gets caught in chimneys, swings wildly out of control on traverses, and generally rearranges it's contents during transit. Invariably, the thing you want is at the bottom, and you have to go pig-fishing.
