Manang Valley

Pulling into Manang valley in the afternoon. This is one of the few places along the trail where the valley opens out into a flood-plain floor. It was quite dry here, despite the proximity of the mountains. It looked a lot like central Oregon. Cows, water buffalo, and yaks grazed on the dry grass.
